Who are Amanda Barrett and Abby DeWald?

The Ditty Bops, also known as Amanda Barrett and Abby DeWald, have been writing and performing music together since 2003. They released two albums on Warner Bros Records, The Ditty Bops and Moon Over The Freeway, as well as the EP Pack Rat, and two independent recordings -Songs for Steve and their pop-up CD Summer Rains, which was nominated for a Grammy.

Last year, the duo sang with Bob Dylan on his album Christmas in the Heart and with Natalie Merchant on her new record. They were named one of Billboard Magazine’s Top Ten Green Bands for riding 4,700 miles from LA to New York solely by bicycle, performing 40 concerts along the way. They have been featured on Late Night with Conan O’Brian, The Late Late Show with Craig Fergusson, The L Word, Extra, NPR’s All Things Considered, and A Prairie Home Companion. Their music has appeared on Gray’s Anatomy, Men in Trees, Ellen and in numerous films and commercials. They recently wrote and illustrated their first books Ruffy Loves to Exercise, Panc and Choc Cook, and Jelly Loves Jam - a koala's reviews of international jams. They are currently working on new art books, stories, and have just released a new record for kids and grown ups - The Color Album.
